Top 5: Creepy YouTube videos that’ll probably terrify you

Dig deep enough and you’ll soon realise that YouTube is bursting at the seams when it comes to creepy, unsettling videos. Today, we’re going to be sharing some of the spooky uploads we’ve stumbled upon on those late nights burrowing into the dark side of YouTube.

Take a deep breath and scroll on as Tube Chum reveals five creepy YouTube videos that might have you sleeping with the light on tonight.

Smiling Benjamin Bennett

Mr Bennett sits in front of his webcam for up to four hours at a time with his legs crossed and a smile plastered across his face. He holds this position for the full duration of the videos on his channel, without ever standing up or adjusting his stance.

The result? A terrifying, confusing series of uploads that nobody really fully understands to this day. Whether the YouTuber is attempting to pass his actions off as ‘art’ or it’s a form of meditation remains a mystery.

In his fifth video, Bennett’s house is burgled during his live-stream, but still the man remains motionless on the floor. Speaking in the video description, the YouTuber explains: “About 2.5 hours into the webcast, I hear someone come into the house, which is odd, because my only housemate is at work, and we aren’t expecting anyone”.

Shrek: The Final Layer

Put simply, Shrek: The Final Layer shows a group of Ogre’s dancing around a digital world, getting up to all sorts of mischievous acts, annoying the online gaming population in the process.

For those unaware, this video features clips taken from IMVU, an online game where you can make a character and walk around talking to people. Think of it as an interactive chatroom.

Dance, Shrek, dance!

Some of the comments below the YouTube video are comedy gold, which is to be expected. One YouTube user, Aaugustho, says: “This video is such a masterpiece that the author of it should change his/her name to SHREKSPEARE”.

Nikko2l adds: “The whole knowledge of nine thousand ancient wise men was put into this video”.

Snospis Eht

YouTube animator Andy Wilson has built a following from uploading some of the strangest, darkest cartoons we’ve ever encountered. As soon as we watched the ‘Snospis Eht’ series, which parodies The Simpsons, we knew we had to find out more. Tube Chum spoke to Andy and demanded answers.

An unsettling series of cartoons.

Andy explained to Tube Chum that he began the creepy series in late 2009, with “Snospis Eht: The Modern American Family”. From there, he explains, one thing led to another.

The animator said: “I animated using a mixture of MS paint and Flash and [the work I was creating] was based upon a comic series I was working on. I started the comic series to annoy this one person on Deviantart, who drew Lisa Simpson fan art and once criticised my artwork”.

“I started the comic series to annoy this one person on Deviantart”.

“I wouldn’t say that I regret uploading anything, although I regret not taking more time to work on the animation quality in a lot of my videos. In hindsight, though, I suppose that adds to a lot of the charm and strangeness in my videos”.

Ultimate Muscle Roller Legend

The fourth entry in our list of creepy YouTube videos may not offer up any jump scares, but it’s certainly confusing.

Ultimate Muscle Roller Legend, or ‘ManCycle’ as we’ve also seen it called, is an animated video which shows a number of racers cruising around sharp and narrow roads as they fire bullets and lazers at each other. There’s more to it than that, though.

Vroom vroom.

The main focus of the video is on two semi-clothed men that fuse together (Yes, fuse together) to form a sort of human-motorbike. It’s certainly an original idea (no surprise there, then) but we’re not sure we can see this being the future of transportation.

In the description of the video, uploader SeriouslyPissedOff writes: “Deep in the forest lived Billy and his charming companions. They peacefully honed their bodies and listened to music there, but a wave of development came upon the forests. One who would turn all to road. Kagamine Rin had come. Billy must stop the construction before all is turned to road”.

If you’re feeling up to the challenge, take a quick look at Ultimate Muscle Roller Legend and see what you think. We haven’t even mentioned the strangest moment in the video, which involves a man with a baby face for a penis shooting a purple beam out of his crotch. So there’s that.

The most popular video on the channel of SeinfeldsPitstain is called ‘Jimmy Neutron Happy Family Happy Hour‘, which has over 5.7 million views at the time of writing.

Above: Jimmy as you’ve never seen him before.

In the Jimmy Neutron Happy Family Happy Hour, Jimmy is sat in the living room with his Dad and his Mum. Things soon turn slightly odd however, after Jimmy’s Dad shoots his mum and then orders an ‘aggressive’ pizza.

It’s not just Jimmy-Neutron-related content on the SeinfeldsPitstain channel, though. Other highlights include the video maker’s rendition of popular kid’s film, the Lion King, which is hauntingly titled ‘rip’.

SeinfeldsPitstain’s Super Smash Bros. Universe trailer parody is also fantastic in all the wrong ways and well worth a watch.
