Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer recreated on Minecraft

Star

It seems like the whole world has gone Star Wars crazy as The Force Awakens hits cinemas this week, but if you haven’t seen the new film yet, then perhaps this Minecraft animation will get you pumped up for the Hollywood blockbuster.

Talented Minecraft animator and Star Wars fan TheIronmaski has managed to recreate the trailer for the latest Star Wars flick entirely in-game. The impressive feat has been uploaded in 4K and features some glorious moments including shots of the hectic space battles that we all know and love.

Whilst the YouTube video uses the original audio from the Force Awakens trailer, this version stars some block-headed characters and a BB-8 rolling through a sand-covered Minecraft world. We love it.

This isn’t the most-viewed video uploaded by TheIronmaski, but it’s certainly one of the most impressive. Judging by the comments on the short film, it looks like the animator’s audience agrees with us. Crunch Designs wrote: “Howly damn, respect to you, my buddy!” whilst Always Amazing added: “OH MY GOSH SO GOOD”.

At the time of writing, this Minecraft trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens has less than 2,000 views. In our minds, an original video like this deserves a couple more clicks, so take a look at  the full video if you’ve got a minute or two to spare.
