YouTube 6.0 Android update offers live chat support

Now, however, navigating to a streaming video on mobile will see smartphone and tablet owners greeted by the same settings as PC and Mac users.

Clicking the Live Chat button below the YouTube video will show comments, which can be replied to. Naturally, given the amount of comments fired out during a YouTube live stream, we’re left doubting the usefulness of such a tool when it comes to promoting genuine, engaging conversation.

Still, comments are what make YouTube colourful, and Google’s latest addition to the YouTube 6.0 mobile app aims to give the community an even louder voice than before.
