YouTube to Offer BRIT Awards 2014 Live Stream

In a world-first for the video-sharing site, YouTube users will soon be able to live stream the upcoming BRIT Awards this year when the ceremony takes place next month.

Hosted by Gavin and Stacey star James Corden, this will be the first time the ceremony has been available to watch live on the internet anywhere in the world.

The organisers behind the prestigious event, which puts the world’s biggest stars and performers in the spotlight, announced the partnership this week. This year’s BRITs are taking place on February 19th, so mark it in your diary.

British solo singer Ellie Goulding talks about her nomination on the BRITs YouTube channel.

The official Brit Awards YouTube channel is already a hive of activity, with music fans from around the world leaving excited messages of support for their favourite artists in the comments.

BRITs Chairman, Christian Tattersfield, said: “Britain has always been a world leader when it comes to producing and championing great artists so it’s fitting that our biggest annual celebration of outstanding music will reach such a huge global audience”.
