YouTube ready to stream Coachella 2016 live

This year’s Coachella festival will be live-streamed over on YouTube, meaning music fans can follow the action online and via the YouTube Music app.

If you can’t afford a ticket to this year’s event in the desert, then it might be a good idea to head over to the Coachella YouTube channel as the action kicks off on April 15th, running through to April 17th.

Some of the world’s biggest solo acts and bands will be taking to the stage, and the performances will be free to view on YouTube. Fans of YouTube Music will also be able to enjoy Coachella via the mobile app, which makes it easier than ever to watch clips on the move.

Coachella’s own YouTube channel looks rather different to the ones you’re used to, specially designed and themed to ensure music fanatics have plenty of content to sink their teeth into. The page features a countdown timer to the event, an embedded Coachella Twitter feed and links to the various live streams.

Three separate streams will be available to view over the course of the event and a ‘video-on-demand hub’ will dish out some juicy festival highlights.

One of the most unique features of the Coachella YouTube channel is the personalised feed, which will display performances based on the artists you love the most.

We’re hyped as ever for this year’s musical feast. It’s great to see YouTube offer some live coverage for those that can’t make it to the event in person. We’re counting down the days and we’re sure you are too!
