Name: Zoe Sugg
YouTube Style: Fashion, Beauty, Vlogger
Official Website: www.zoella.co.uk
Zoe Sugg started her YouTube channel in 2009, which was an expansion of her blog which she had started earlier that year.
Zoella‘s main YouTube channel focuses on fashion and beauty, the video-maker often looks at various products and offers tips and advice to her viewers. In many of her early videos, Zoe looked at clothes she got from various high street chains including Primark, TopShop and New Look.
The vlogger released her own beauty product range towards the end of 2014 called ‘Zoella Beauty’, which includes bath products and make-up bags.
In November 2014, Zoe released her first book, ‘Girl Online‘, which became a New York Times best seller and one of the fastest selling books of the year. She published a sequel to the book in September 2015 called Girl Online On Tour, which became a number one seller on Amazon and was followed by a sold-out book-tour.
It wasn’t long before Zoe was given the opportunity to brush shoulders with a number of celebrities for Christmas 2015, when she was invited to join Band Aid 30. The group performed a a new release of the charity single ‘Do They know It’s Christmas?’, which raised money to combat the Ebola virus.
The British vlogger then appeared on a Comic Relief version of The Great British Bake-off in February 2015, appearing alongside Gok Wan, Jonathan Ross and Abbey Clancy.
Zoella was then given her own waxwork model in September 2015, along with her boyfriend Alfie Deyes, which is on display at Madame Tussauds, London. The new models form part of a new ‘vlogosphere’ section of the Madame Tussauds experience, which offers fans the chance to sit beside the two vloggers in a replica version of their bedroom.
Zoe has won a number of awards over the last few years, including Best British Vlogger for 2013 and 2014 at the Radio Teen Awards. She also won the Web Star Prize for Fashion and Beauty at the 2015 Teen choice Awards.
We recommend watching Zoella’s Not My Arms Challenge video, which she filmed with her brother Joe Sugg. Joe takes the place of Zoe’s arm and tries to put on her make-up for her. There’s plenty of laughs to be had.
